David Cho
Daegu International School '24
David Cho is a junior at Daegu International School. His main interests are computer science, math, and web development. He is especially interested in learning algorithm structures and math skills, which led him to participate in several contests and olympiads. Recently, he was accepted to AIME(American Invitational Mathematics Examination) and the final round of KOI(Korea Olympiad in Informatics). He is also interested in creative problem solving. He won a gold medal at the Creative Problem Solving Festival and placed 2nd in the 2020 Credeca World Finals as a leader of the team. As a Computer Science and Pre-calculus tutor of Peer Tutoring Club(school), he helps student who need help in those subjects. Also, as a co-leader/assistant coach of Computer Science Competition Club(school), he is teaching algorithm structure/programming skills to members. He is currently working on improving his web development skills with several online resources and has participated in an internship program as a position of front-end developer. He is also studying algorithm theories with an online course.

Bolt (Doyoon) Yi

Bolt Yi is a junior attending Daegu International School. His main interests are computer science, math, and baseball. He is especially interested in solving coding problems and developing AIs, which led him to participate in several Olympiads. Recently, he was accepted to the IOI Korea Team as a trainee and is in the tenth percentile in BaekJoon OJ, a programming site. He is also interested in creative problem-solving. He also had an internship at haveto.io development team over the summer of 2022. He has experience dealing with web programming and servers and therefore is an ideal person to take on the job for JES.

Yuju (Julie) Hwang

Yuju Hwang is currently a junior at Korea International School, Jeju campus. She mainly pursues her interest in the area of chemistry and medicine. She’s also engaged in learning about different diseases and the treatments that align with them so that she can expand her knowledge and insights about medicine. She is currently a vice president of the chemistry club is KISJ and has also participated in the GPSI Disabling Disease course in the Pioneer Academics in her sophomore year. Other than STEM, she’s also deeply interested in business and has numerous experiences in participating in both national and international business competitions and has won awards. As a Publication Logistics Officer, her goal is to publish articles in a way that attracts the audience.

Seoyeon Choi
Korea International School Jeju ‘25
Seoyeon Choi is a sophomore at Korea International School Jeju. She is deeply interested in software designing, and she thinks that learning more about computer science and business will help her create her own software and actualize those plans in the real world. To learn more about her interest in computer science and business, she is currently taking related AP courses and is a vice president of DECA, a business club. For the past 4 years, she has participated in more than 6 national and worldwide business competitions to share her business proposals of different software plans to solve different problems ranging from road traffic safety, senior treatment, climate, and youth employment. With those ideas, she won first place in the GEC Business competition and second place in the One World Business Competition for two consecutive years. Like how she developed different software plans from the topics of her interest, as a Publication Logistics Officer and Copy Editor, Seoyeon would like to keep the JES website well-organized so that many people can easily find and read the article of their choice.

Niharikaa Banerjee is currently in her freshman year at Daegu International School. She has a passion for computer science and advanced technology. Since elementary school, she has always won STEM competitions and participated in many STEM activities. She is currently interested in graphic design and is fascinated to learn more about artificial intelligence. She has done numerous activities allowing her to transpire into a better writer and web designer. Her other passion lies in public speaking, which is illustrated by her engagement in debate/MUN/Speech competitions and by her contribution to TedX speeches.

Solah Han is a freshman in Daegu International School. She has just set foot on her journey following her aspiration: biotechnology informatics. Currently, she has a record of first place in SKAC STEM fair for 3 consecutive years and has experience in the 2022 Korean Youth Biology Academy. Her other passion is computer graphics, exemplified by being a graphic designer and media manager in numerous clubs, such student councils (MSSC, HSSC), volunteer clubs (NJHS) , and others (SOAR, journalism club, video production club).

Jaewoong Suh

JaeWoong Suh is currently enrolled at Korea International School Jeju campus, where he can pursue his interests in computer science and Korean culture. To bring these two passions together, he founded Joseon Space in 2022, a website aimed at providing information about Korea's cultural heritage to people from around the world. He is also passionate about design and has won prizes in Korea's renowned Design Exhibition. He has a long history of success in the contest and his accomplishments have been recognized by many in the design field. Moreover, he is an active participant in various online design forums, sharing his creative vision with like-minded individuals from around the globe.
